Happy New Year!

Hopefully, 2018 will be much better than 2017! A lot happened last year. The worst of which was the election. But it is time to forge forward and take care of our own personal goals one day at a time.

As you know, I was certified by Precision Nutrition as a Level one Nutrition Coach. And now I am taking their graduate level 2 program which will give me a Master Nutrition status if I pass. This might be the most intensive course I have ever done. As you know, I have done many certification classes. The moral of the story is that at this point I am quite sure that I am very qualified to help anyone with their nutrition goals.

All of my work as a Nutrition Coach is powered by Precision Nutrition. It is a wonderful program as it is a complete education that targets each individual and provides a program that is based on habits. For me, it has been eye opening and has taught me so much more than I expected I would learn.

The extent of my knowledge before was from reading articles and different books. None of which had I ever checked the sources. And I was mostly left thinking about what I shouldn’t be doing and thinking that there were so many things that I should not be eating. With this program each and every day I feel like my diet gets better and better. And when I am not eating a nutrient dense diet I surely can feel the difference. I have come to the point where I crave vegetables and have learned how to prepare them in a way that I look forward to eating them.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not to say that I never eat things that one would probably consider junk food, but I find myself not that interested in calorie dense, processed foods. I feel satisfied longer and thinking about food less unless I am hungry.

There are so many more aspects of one’s nutrition that lead to a healthy lifestyle beyond just food. Diet alone will never lead to healthy habits. Becoming conscious of how you think about yourself, and your habits, play an essential role in feeling good about yourself and being successful while educating yourself and putting into practice what you have learned.
